My Holiday Goal

Does anyone have any goals for the holidays? Mine is to be able to fly my mom and dad out for Christmas.

When my dad was 59 years old, he had his first big stroke. He has had two more since and a countless number of mini strokes in the past 5 years. The first stroke left him paralyzed on his right side and with each stroke, his short-term memory less and less.

Christmas is my dad’s absolute favorite time of the year. With the immeasurable number of hospital visits, their move into a handicap accessible home, medical supplies, in home nurses, and my dad not having the ability to work anymore, my mom and dad have less and less money.

I am not sure how many more Christmas’ we will have left to celebrate with my dad as once you have had one stroke, you will keep having them until they eventually kill you.

So, my ultimate goal is to be able to fly them out to celebrate Christmas with the family. I am looking forward to seeing my daughter to see the joy in her grandfather’s eyes at Christmas time.

I would like to accomplish my goal by being a successful Chocolatier at my in home Chocolate Tasting Parties.

So with the school year underway, the sport season in full swing and the holiday rush lurking around the corner… get the girls together for a night out. Celebrate the joy of chocolate while indulging on chocolate treats and drinks.

So, that is my holiday goal. Does anyone else have a goal?
